How to Make Fitness Goals Stick

Many of you are making promises to yourself such as losing 20 lbs of fat or fitting into those jeans again. I want you to become one of those who reaches his or her goals, so I’m going to offer 4 amazing tips.

Diets don’t work. Eating has a metabolic cost. It takes calories to absorb food. If you restrict calories, you end up slowing metabolism, and will end up fatter. In order to get lean, you need to eat small frequent meals!

Too much aerobic activity can make you fatter. In a nutshell, aerobic exercise can start using muscle for fuel. In fact, far too many health club members make the common mistake of doing aerobic exercise prior to their weight training which might severely restrict fat loss. There is an ideal combination of exercises that will work specifically to help you achieve your goals. However, it’s almost like finding a unique key to a unique lock. Modifications in your training can always lead to greater fat loss, in many cases with less effort, not more.

In order to ensure weight loss is exclusively fat, consider implementing the caloric stagger for a 4-week period. This is a methodology of altering protein/carb intake to facilitate greater fat release.

Cheating is good for you. Relax the rules once in a while. It is very healthy from a psychological standpoint and it won’t hinder your quest for a beautiful body.
