1) We are the creators of our metabolism

1) Do you know the best way to trade your body in for a new physique? METABOLISM. We are the creators of this 10 letter word, not just the victims of it. Many people believe they are stuck with their current level and there is nothing they can do to change it. This assumption would be completely false.

First off, what is metabolism? It is chemical processes in the body that provide energy in useful forms and sustain vital activities. Essentially, this is the rate at which we burn through food. I want to introduce another term that many of you have heard about called basal metabolic rate. This is the minimal energy the body requires to support itself in a fasting state when resting and awake in a warm, quiet environment. Raising your basal metabolism is an ideal method of burning more calories, and potential fat calories.

Why is this so important? Roughly 60-65% of the amounts of calories you burn (energy expenditure) is directly related to your BMR (basal metabolic rate). The rest of your energy expenditure includes calories burned during exercise and the eating and digestive process.

The best way you can control your metabolism is to increase the amount of lean muscle on your frame. This can be done through progressive resistance training combined with feeding your body the nutrients it needs. If you aren’t taking advantage of this I would recommend you begin now. There is no better way to get into a lean body than this.

2) Motivational quote of the month

You are the person who has to decide. Whether you'll do it or toss it aside; you are the person who makes up your mind. Whether you'll lead or will linger behind. Whether you'll try for the goal that's afar. Or just be contented to stay where you are.
