"I've worked out on and off for many years following different theories that I heard from different people. My focus originally was to look like the Incredible Hulk so I would eat everything I could get my hands on. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't reaching my goal. I started putting on weight but not the kind of weight I wanted so I began getting fat. Before I knew it I was 240 pounds at 6 feet tall and in horrendous shape. I could barely run a quarter mile. It took a bet with a friend on whether or not I could get in shape to spur me in the right direction.

My first step was to find out the proper way to eat and work out. I approached a trainer in my gym. The trainer was Billy Hofacker. Billy was nice enough to explain to me the right foods to eat and that eating supportive meals every three hours would speed my metabolism and the effect that sugar had on my fat burning ability. Billy also explained to me the proper way to work out and the proper form to use when I lift weights. Through Billy's guidance I was able to formulate my own diet and training program. Now I weigh 185 pounds. I have a lean muscular physique and I can run five miles easily."

"I moved to NYC from Boston in March of 2001. I had become less active over the last few years and gained some weight that I had trouble losing and maintaining with the short-term diets. I went on Billy's program within a week of moving to NY and remained dedicated throughout the 16-week program.

The program started off very slowly, which gave me the opportunity to get in shape for the real workouts. The first 4 weeks were short workouts and were manageable time wise, which worked out well for my poor endurance. After the first 4 weeks the "real" program began. Almost immediately my body fat decreased and my muscle mass increased.

I also had more energy as a result of the workouts and the new eating habits. The smaller meals did not leave me hungry, but also did not overfill me like I had become accustomed to doing for lunch and dinner. You are allowed to take a 1/2 day cheat day on the program and I took full advantage of it. I ate wings, fries, ice cream, chocolate, jellybeans, potato chips, and any other fatty high sugar food you can imagine. Despite this, after 16 weeks with Billy's help I lost a total of 30 lbs and my body fat dropped significantly."

"My name is Dave. I'm from Long Island and I had just turned 25 when I decided to start training with Billy. I am 6'4" tall and weighed 212 pounds. I wasn't in terrible shape but I knew I could look and feel a lot better. I also wanted some advice on diet and exercise I could use long term.

The diet plan worked very well. There was quite a variety of food I could eat that was both delicious and healthy. These were meals that tasted great without all the excess simple sugars and fat one night a week, I could even have a "cheat day." For half a day, once a week, I could eat or drink anything I wanted. I would drink beer, eat all the pizza and ice cream I wanted and still lose weight.

Billy gave me effective workout routines that I could manage and stick with. The results were amazing! In just two months I burned approx. 30 lbs of fat and gained 10 lbs of lean muscle. I lost 5.25" from my abdomen and added 2" to my biceps."

"In December 2003 I weighed 256 lbs and about 2 weeks before Christmas I was tying my shoes and realized I couldn't breathe while bent over.

I decided to start a diet and set my goal at 225 lbs.

By February I had lost 15 lbs and I realized that I needed to begin exercising but I had no idea how to move forward most effectively.

I joined a gym and boy was I lucky I met Billy. He laid out a program that has been easy to follow and as I have progressed my changing body shape and improved overall well being has changed my life for the better.

My friends who haven't seen me in a few months are freaking out. One actually said, 'Harry, what the hell happened to you?'

Almost all of my chronic joint pains are gone as well as my sciatica. I am completely a NEW MAN. I find myself doing all physical activities without any fatigue, shortness of breath or worry about whether I can finish whatever I start.

The other day I was going through my closet getting rid of old dresses and I came upon my prom dress from four years ago. Well, needless to say I tried it on and it fit just like the night I wore it. Then I came upon my sister's old prom dress which is one size smaller. Well, to my surprise I put that on and zippered it up with no problem. I was so excited I had to go down stairs and show my parents!

What's up Billy? Hope all is well…

I have read numerous newsletters in my life but I find yours to be more inspiring. You seem to focus more on what is important to the everyday person rather than trying to market a supplement or routine that you don't believe in.

When I read your story about how your brother reduced his body fat just by eliminating sugar from his diet, that really inspired me to do the focus more on my intake of refined sugars as well as my overall diet. When I spoke to you recently in class I mentioned certain aspects of the fitness/nutrition areas that newsletters seem to ignore. For example what is the best MRP supplement that does not contain sucralose or hydrogenated oils? What is the safest thermogenic enhancer to reduce body fat and improve the overall health of an individual? What do you recommend for muscle endurance and the up keep of your overall joints??

For years I've taken MRP's and have tried pretty much every fat burner you can think of. My point is that I feel the majority of these companies are only in it for the money rather than the safety and benefit of the consumer. Just from knowing you through jiu-jitsu and speaking to you on occasions I can tell that you are a real genuine guy who wants to focus more on what is really important to the fitness world........That is huge in my book, everyone should dedicate their passions for what they believe in as you do.

I definitely believe that you have made an impact in your clients lives as well as your subscribers and will continue do so in years to come.

I have always been a positive person, but after working with Billy the postitive turned into tons of confidence. It's so important to feel good both mentally and physically and I have Billy to thank for that. I feel like a new person, I'm always getting approached when I go out and it feels absolutely amazing. Prior to working with Billy I had gone to several different trainers and received constant chiropractic care due to chronic lower back pain only to end up not being able to walk or function, as well as, taking pain killers. Very frustrated and through many hours of research I contacted Billy. Billy doesn't just train you physically he also incorporates nutrition and balance along with your own needs into a very personalized program. Since April 2005 I have worked with Billy and I do not suffer from chronic lower back pain, haven't been to the chiropractor, have lost 16 lbs of body fat, feel great and I am a better person all around!
